A mental health charity has joined forces with an app created by an Irish Olympian to support people’s wellbeing.
Turn2Me has formed a new strategic partnership with the innovative SAOL app, a dynamic wellbeing platform designed to support healthier, happier lives. This collaboration signals a significant step forward in combining evidence-based professional mental health services with engaging community wellbeing tools to make wellbeing support more accessible, holistic, and impactful for individuals and communities throughout Ireland.
Turn2Me has built a reputation as a safe, anonymous and confidential online space where people can access free counselling, peer support groups, daily mood tools and evidence-based resources to help manage mental health concerns. The SAOL app, founded by Irish Olympian, Derval O’Rourke, and business partner, Greg O’Gorman, is a wellbeing platform that brings people together around meaningful goals, live classes, community challenges, mindfulness content and expert-led wellbeing programmes. Rooted in the Irish meaning of ‘life’, the SAOL platform empowers people to prioritise their physical and mental wellbeing through accessible, engaging content and community-focused experiences.
Through this partnership, Turn2Me and SAOL will combine their strengths to provide a seamless wellbeing ecosystem: Turn2Me’s expert clinical support and SAOL’s broad wellbeing engagement tools will now be integrated in ways that help users move effortlessly between proactive wellbeing content and reactive professional mental health support when needed. This means users of SAOL who identify emotional distress, stress or anxiety through the app tools will be guided toward Turn2Me’s comprehensive support options, including counselling and structured online support groups.
Suzanne Ennis, Clinical Manager at Turn2Me, explained: “We are delighted to partner with the SAOL app at such a pivotal time for mental health and wellbeing in Ireland. This collaboration brings together two organisations committed to improving people’s lives in ways that are meaningful, accessible and supportive. By combining Turn2Me’s professional services with SAOL’s proactive wellbeing tools, we are creating a pathway that supports people through both everyday wellbeing and challenging moments. Together, we can help more individuals build resilience, find community and access clinical support when they need it most.”
