Cooking up a storm on the East coast

A brand new cookery school has taken its offering on the road.

The East Coast Cookery School, based in Termonfeckin, has been taken on a tour to Dublin for a night.
Founder, Tara Walker, introduced invited guests to her tour, where they sampled a range of signature dishes and heard about the recently expanded cookery school.

The East Coast Cookery School (formerly The Tasty Tart) is a purpose built cookery school and kitchen in Tara’s own home in the countryside near Termonfeckin, Co. Louth. The focus is not just on food, with fun being high on the list of ingredients for the success of Tara’s demonstrations and cookery classes.

Tara was raised in the food business, coming from a family that ran successful hotels, pubs and cafes. Her love of food was reinforced in Paris while training at the Cordon Bleu, which, together with a natural aptitude for business, makes running a cookery school the perfect outlet for her talents.
